These kits make the perfect snow day activity. Ice dyeing creates beautiful, organic, watercolor-like patterns—and watching the dye slowly melt and blend is almost as magical as the final result. Every piece turns out completely one of a kind.

Each kit includes enough fiber-reactive dye to create several projects. If you’re purchasing more than one kit, we recommend choosing different (complementary) colors so you have even more shades to play with as they blend together.

A tea towel is included for experimenting, but we highly recommend having additional blanks on hand so you can really make the most of the materials. Ice dye works best on natural fibers such as cotton, rayon, linen, and other plant-based fabrics. It’s also a great excuse to upcycle stained or forgotten items and give them new life.

If you’re dyeing a cotton-blend item, keep in mind that higher cotton content will yield brighter, more vibrant results.
